Job Description

The College of Arts & Sciences is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a Lecturer of Criminology and Criminal Justice for the Department of Social Sciences beginning in fall 2019. The College seeks excellence in instruction, research, and service. Teaching responsibilities include teaching the equivalent of four 3 credit hour courses in criminology or criminal justice during fall and spring semesters.Teaching assignments may include day or evening classes. Flexible to suit course schedule.

Required Qualifications:

  • M.S. degree or ABD equivalent in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Ability to teach courses on policing, corrections, crime and justice policy, or research methods and/or statistics
  • 18 graduate hours in Criminology or related field
  • A minimum of one year of college or university experience in teaching face to face classes
