The Accounting Assistant performs routine accounting activities. Works under immediate supervision of the Director of Daily Financial Operations.

This position is limited term with anticipated dates of employment: December 14, 2018 - June 14, 2019.


  • Processes accounts payable and travel invoices
  • Processes other invoices, as required
  • Files and scans AP vouchers, GL Journals, Travel & Expense reports
  • Performs other duties, as assigned

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience in the accounting or related field.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field.

  • Two or more years of experience in the accounting or related field.

Position may require local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing.
