The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Oakland University (OU) invites applicants to join our faculty as a full time Special Instructor in Electrical Engineering starting in August 2019. Applicants must have earned either an M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Teaching with commitment to excellence and dedication to university and professional service is required. Preference will be given to applicants who evidence of the ability to successfully teach and develop courses and laboratories in introductory electrical engineering topics for undergraduate and lower-division graduate classes. Favorable consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate the ability and commitment to working with students and faculty through our summer programs and workshops.

Oakland University is a nationally recognized doctoral research institution located on 1,443 acres of scenic land in the cities of Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills in Oakland County, Michigan. The University has 132 bachelor's degree programs and 138 graduate degree and certificate programs. Academics include programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business Administration, School of Education and Human Services, School of Engineering and Computer Science, School of Health Sciences, School of Medicine and School of Nursing.
