It replicates the true flow of activities in a clinical practice and hospital and will be a global destination center for simulation-based education, research and service; this facility will be a resource for expansion of healthcare education and research initiatives.
The School of Nursing and Health Studies at the University of Miami is seeking to fill an Endowed Chair, Professor position. Candidates must have Research Doctorate (PhD) in nursing or related field is required. Candidates must have an outstanding portfolio in advanced nursing education, distinguished record of research in scholarly achievement, publications, and student mentorship, as well as attainment of national, international professional recognition, and a level commensurate with tenure as a full professor. Priority areas of interest are vulnerable population/health disparities, patient safety/outcomes, global health, disaster preparedness, and family caregivers. The school will provide seed funds for research. Responsibilities include maintaining a program of research supported by external funding, teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs, and mentoring students.
