The Cardiovascular Division of the Department of Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking applications for Medical Director for Cardiac Care Unit at UHealth Tower, University of Miami Health System’s flagship hospital. The Cardiovascular Division has state-of-the-art clinical programs in cardiology including Interventional Cardiology, Heart Failure, and Cardiac Electrophysiology, and collaborates closely with Cardiac Surgery. UHealth, University of Miami Health System is the only University Medical Center is South Florida.

The Medical Director shall be administratively responsible for working collaboratively with hospital leadership in addressing issues of common concern related to patient care, education and unit administration. The position involves a Faculty academic appointment at the assistant or associate professor level that will be commensurate with applicant’s background and accomplishments.

The candidate should have outstanding clinical skills with a strong focus on clinical investigation and/or education. Imaging expertise in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, CT, or CMR is desirable.  A record of strong administrative leadership is desirable. Applicants must have an MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent), be board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Diseases, with a current US medical license and eligible for a Florida medical license.
