Engineering Laboratory Lecturer
The Department of Engineering at Swarthmore College is looking for an Engineering Laboratory Lecturer beginning in August 2019, with a primary focus on courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Example courses include Fundamentals of Digital Systems, Embedded Systems, Electrical Circuit Analysis and Linear Physical Systems Analysis (course descriptions available at http://www.swarthmore.edu/engineering/courses ). Aside from teaching laboratory sections of courses, responsibilities include grading lab reports, setting up and preparing for labs, building & troubleshooting instrumentation for labs, and working with faculty to develop new lab activities for students. This is a nine-month position during the regular academic year, with the possibility of additional employment during the summer for lab development work. The position is renewable upon successful review. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field is required. A master’s degree, as well as experience teaching undergraduates, are both preferred.
