Position Title: Administrative Support - Intermediate

Division: Academic Affairs

Department: External Degree Newnan

Nature of Work

Manages UWG Newnan Business Operations, which includes the direct management of the cash operations (for testing and facility rental fees) and office responsibilities. Assist with a complex online testing and proctoring system, ensuring efficiency, integrity and proper accounting of all fees. Acts as the liaison for the Newnan Campus with Auxiliary services at Carrollton Campus (including issuing parking decals, validating student ID requests, and Newnan Campus bookstore inventory). Provides an array of academic support services for Faculty and Staff. Assists in coordination and management of professional special events for the center that strengthen faculty or community engagement. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma and 2 year’s administrative experience; or a combination of training, education and experience. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work with confidential information. Must be able to work in a team environment with high volume of work at times.

Preferred Qualifications

The ability to quantify and illustrate financial reports, comparisons, impacts and other projections. Knowledge of FERPA regulations. Having worked in a higher education environment is preferred.

Salary

$14.48 minimum - $17.85 midpoint

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Must be willing to work additional evening and weekend hours, as needed. Will require occasional travel to main campus in Carrollton. This position must be able to lift 20 pounds and work under somewhat adverse conditions at times.
