Position Summary: The objective of this position is to serve as a Research Technician under the direction of Darla Miller and Dr. Pardo Manuel de Villena in the Department of Genetics. This technician will be responsible for breeding and monitoring of Collaborative Cross mice, as well as tracking thousands of biological samples through a custom database, preparing nucleic acids for genotyping, sequencing and gene expression. Responsibilities include both animal breeding and accurate record keeping for this project and assuring its accuracy and integrity, dissections, DNA extraction and quantification and sample tracking.
