Position Summary: The Web Application Developer will work with The Application, Web & Data Services team within School of Medicine IT. The Web Application Developer will support the SOM WordPress infrastructure, as well as contribute to in-house legacy application development and front-end development. This position will be responsible for developing websites and applications that enhance the educational and research missions of the School of Medicine. The ideal candidate will be well versed in a number of technologies, both open-source and off-the-shelf. The candidate should also be self-motivated and able to independently balance competing priorities.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, math, or Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualification and Experience: Essential skills, knowledge, and abilities: Demonstrated successful teamwork skills and ability to cooperate and collaborate with co-workers and all levels of management, staff, and faculty. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High level of attention to detail. Willingness to learn and contribute both independently and as part of a team. Preferred qualifications: Experience in the following areas: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Git, Languages: PHP, C#, Python, Javascript, HTML, CSS Databases: MySQL. Familiarity with Selenium, Jquery, Node.js
