Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume)

Master's degree (or foreign equivalent or higher) in Social Work (MSW). Licensed Clinical Social Worker with eligibility for New York State licensure. Experience working with patients and their families.

Preferred Qualifications:

Clinical experience providing additional services to geriatric patients, including therapy (individual and /or family), referrals to other services, and coordination of care with other providers. Experience educating geriatric patients and families about psychiatric diagnoses and treatment options in the elderly. Bilingual English/Spanish with ability to competently deliver psychotherapy and conduct clinical assessments in both languages. Clinical experience working with geriatric patients and their families in an outpatient psychiatric program.

Brief Description of Duties:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker will provide full-time services to the Center of Excellence for Alzheimer’s Disease including concrete service referral and crisis intervention for patients and caregivers.

  • Conduct individual/family psychotherapy with outpatient clients.
  • Screen and triage all referrals.
  • Coordinate with other providers.
  • Assist patients with obtaining community resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.
