Theatre Arts Program Full-Time Lecturer
Position Description: Full-time lecturer position (one year appointment, with possibility of renewal and promotion) available in a small undergraduate Theatre Arts program, starting Fall 2019. We seek a scholar-practitioner-generalist able to teach acting and directing, academic courses in all aspects of theatre studies, and special topics classes in areas of scholarly and artistic specialization(s). The position includes opportunities to direct program productions, and to advise honors thesis projects. PhD or its equivalent, and MFA or its equivalent required. Professional and teaching experience, and strong commitment to liberal-arts required; scholarship and publications in academic areas highly desirable. Specialties involving intersections of the Western tradition with non-Western and non-majoritarian cultures, populations, and genders welcome.
