Visiting Assistant Professor

The Department of Health and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for a three-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor, to begin in Fall 2019. At the end of three years, this position has the potential to convert to a Clinical Teaching Track faculty position. The position is a 9-month appointment with a 6-course per academic year teaching commitment in the department's doctoral and undergraduate curricula. Additional responsibilities include 10% supervising undergraduate research opportunities; 10% service; and 20% conducting independent research.

We invite applications from individuals who fit with the Department's interdisciplinary focus on the application of social, behavioral, and natural science theory and methods to social and biological aspects of population health in national and/or global contexts. We are particularly interested in candidates who are able to teach in the area of Environmental Health. The successful candidate will join a department active in research, grant-writing, and teaching in a program with a graduate (Ph.D.) degree and undergraduate major in public health (B.A./B.S.).

  • Ph.D. in health, broadly defined, or related field
