About the Position

The Receptionist Assistant performs a full range of moderately complex to complex office and administrative support functions for the office of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). The position performs the duties of receptionist for the Counseling & Psychological Services department under limited supervision. Working independently, under general supervision, the receptionist is primarily responsible for assisting in a variety of interrelated workflow processes to ensure the administrative, clerical, and customer services functions of the CAPS Center are met. This position has responsibility for administrative and clerical tasks and processes, calendar management and operational unit activities including events. Working under general supervision, this position provides calendar scheduling for the office of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). The position is responsible for supporting a fast paced and highly confidential customer service oriented center.

Minimum Qualifications

- Completion of a high school program or its equivalent
- One year of experience in an office environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with health or mental health records system.
- One year of administrative or receptionist experience
- Experience scheduling
- Experience working in a college setting

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Knowledge of software applications: word processing, and spreadsheet management
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent customer service and public relations skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple work priorities in a busy environment with many interruptions
- Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment
- Ability to be organized and appropriately follow directions
