Work Schedule: Assignments may be day, evening, and/or weekend hours. Must be willing to accept assignments on short notice. Some travel may be required.

To provide sign language interpreting services for hearing impaired or deaf students.
Work with hearing impaired and deaf students to provide interpreting or transcribing services for classes, appointments, and other college sponsored events. Performs platform interpreting for college sponsored activities such as conferences, workshops and seminars. Substitutes for other interpreters as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years of interpreting experience.
- Possess strong expressive and receptive skills in ASL.
- Knowledge of and adherence to the interpreting Code of Professional Conduct.
- Understanding of deaf culture.
- Interpreting experience in a higher educational setting.
- Graduate from an accredited Interpreter Training Program.
- RID/NAD certification.
- Degree in Educational Interpreting.
- Transcription skills.
