ANALYST,Research Compliance, Institutional Review Board

The Boston University Institutional Review Board (IRB) is part of the Office of Research, a group dedicated to aiding the research community in navigating the lifecycle of their work, from finding funding to creating proposals to helping inventions find their way to the public.

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) is responsible for protecting the rights and welfare of human subjects. The IRB Analyst will report to the Director of the Institutional Review Board. The IRB Analyst will provide administrative and regulatory support to the IRB Chairs, IRB Board Members and research investigators. The Senior IRB Analyst will review submissions for regulatory and ethical compliance. The IRB Analyst will also serve as an alternate member on the IRB and will be designated to conduct exempt and expedited reviews of submissions. The IRB Analyst will conduct pre-reviews of full board studies and will assist the IRB members in completing these types of reviews.

This position is eligible for the generous tuition remission at Boston University.

Qualifications (Minimum education & experience level required):

Bachelors degree

1-3 years of experience in human subjects research

Basic knowledge of both DHHS and FDA human subjects regulations

Skill requirements (include complexity of position):

Strong analytical skills Excellent time management skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
