Job Description Summary:
Southwestern Michigan College, a two-year college located approximately 30 minutes north of South Bend, Indiana, and approximately 30 minutes from Lake Michigan's eastern shore is seeking adjunct instructors to teach courses in human biology.
Please note, this assignment may be taught at the Dowagiac or Niles campus.
Summary:
Instruct courses in Human Biology, Human Anatomy, and/or Physiology. These courses consist of 3 hours of lecture and 2 hours of lab work per week. Instructors prepare their own labs and are expected to be accessible to students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Required Qualifications:
18 Graduate credits or equivalent in Human Anatomy/Physiology or related coursework.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters degree or higher in subject
• Community College teaching experience
Other Information:
All applicants must demonstrate the ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to students and facilitate student learning. Excellent organization and communication skills as well as the demonstrated use of instructional technology are required.
This is for a Spring 2019 course.
