Administrative Specialist


Under supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and guidance from the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the incumbent is responsible for the administrative oversight to achieve the goals of the Piomelli research group. The incumbent has full responsibility for the administrative functions necessary to manage the research group's resources, including an NIH funded P50 center grant which comprises four Cores and three Projects inclusive of five Principle Investigators across two schools. This requires knowledge of UCI academic and staff personnel/payroll policies, accounting, finance, purchasing, and extramural contracts and grants.
The incumbent is responsible for maintaining University policies and procedures. Analysis is performed independently or jointly with the Chief Administrative Officer and/or department Contract & Grant Analyst and presented to the Principal Investigator for implementation to achieve the research group, departmental, campus, or system-wide objectives.

Salary: Hourly $21.54 - $29.29
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Career Position.
Must be willing to work occasional overtime hours as needed.
Final candidate subject to background check.
