Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering faculty position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, which begins August 2019.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kennesaw State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track position beginning August 2019. The ideal candidate will have an area of specialization in an emerging research area with a strong potential of attracting external funding. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop a vigorous, interdisciplinary and sustainable, externally-funded research program in his or her area of expertise. In addition, the successful candidate will teach face-to-face courses, online courses, and/or laboratories. Experience in teaching Manufacturing Engineering, Senior Design, and/or MATLAB courses is desirable. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate an interest in mentoring and advising undergraduate and graduate students. Responsibilities will include teaching, scholarship, and service. A minimum of three years of industrial experience or equivalent is preferred. Professional Engineering (PE) licensure is desirable. Candidates must have earned Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related fields, or the foreign equivalent, by the time of appointment.
