General Summary

The Simulation, Animation & Gaming program is looking for a part-time lecturer whose responsibilities within the Simulation, Animation and Gaming Program could include teaching: Adobe Suite software, texturing & mapping, simulations, environmental design, modeling, Flash, and gaming courses.

Instruction would be at either the undergraduate or graduate level depending upon educational degree completion and related industry expertise.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Teaching may include a number of particular obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes, assessing student work and performance, preparing syllabi and course materials, providing copies of syllabi and course materials to their supervisor on request, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules.

Perform related departmental duties as required.

Qualifications

Master's degree or doctoral candidacy or completion in Simulation, Animation, and/or Gaming or any closely related area. B.Sc. Degree with at least 4 years of professional experience in the area of Simulation, Animation, and/or Gaming may be considered for this position.

Documented knowledge of the key concepts and applications in the field of Simulation, Animation, and Gaming including modeling, texturing, animating, cameras, lighting, rigging, compositing dynamics or environmental design.
