General Summary
The Interior Design Program within the School of Visual & Built Environments is seeking a part-time lecturer whose responsibilities could include teaching: project-based studio courses with emphasis on commercial spaces, materials/finishes, specifications, lighting, sustainable design, etc. Instruction could be at either the undergraduate or graduate level depending upon educational degree completion and related industry expertise.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching may include a number of particular obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes, assessing student work and performance, preparing syllabi and course materials, providing copies of syllabi and course materials to their supervisor on request, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules.
Perform related departmental duties as required.
Qualifications
Interior Design education and experience
Master's degree completed, able to teach lecture or studio courses in the CIDA accredited program.
