The Department of Surgery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (SHSC) is inviting applications for a permanent full-time position as Head, Division of Urology. We seek a full-time faculty urologist with specific fellowship training in all aspects of urologic oncology. The effective date of this appointment is flexible, tentatively aiming for January 1, 2019.

Clinically, the successful candidate will provide advanced care of patients with surgical disease of the genitourinary tract and oversee a strong academic division with potential for recruitment. The Division of Urology at Sunnybrook provides all aspects of urologic care including uro-oncology, functional urology, trauma care, women's and men's health, neurourology and reconstructive surgery. The Division performs approximately 1000 operative cases per annum and attends to the cystoscopy clinic with over 10,000 visits per year. Many of the patients come through our Odette Cancer Centre or the Tory Regional Trauma Centre ensuring a complex case mix of both urologic oncology and trauma.

The successful candidate will possess a strong track record and graduate-level training in research, medical education, or patient safety with evidence of excellence in the relevant domain. The candidate must be eligible for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at the University of Toronto and for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as well as licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

SHSC has an international reputation for clinical excellence and research, and is an acknowledged academic leader. The Sunnybrook Research Institute hosts well established programs in basic, applied, and clinical research occupying over 250,000 sq.ft. of state-of-the-art infrastructure with annual peer review grant support of $75M.
