The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit faculty clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University, is seeking an academic surgical pathologist. This non-tenure track faculty appointment will be made at a rank (Instructor/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) and salary commensurate with experience.

Our growing medical center, with a modern, state -of-the-art hospital and expanding Cancer Center, is located in the heart of the nation's capital. Opportunities are available to sign out cases in areas of special interest and in other areas of surgical pathology, including a rich variety of neoplastic and non-neoplastic cases.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include providing clinical service; teaching residents, fellows, and medical students; and maintaining an active research program in collaboration with surgeons, oncologists, and other clinicians and basic investigators.

Minimum Qualifications:

MD or equivalent; Board-certified or Board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the time of appointment; eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia; and fellowship training and/or experience in general surgical pathology and/or a subspecialty area of surgical pathology.
