The Cancer Center-Core Support is seeking a Bioinformatics Analyst.
This position is to provide prompt, comprehensive and state-of-the-art bioinformatics support for basic science, translational and clinical investigators at MCC (Markey Cancer Center).
The candidate will get involved in collaborating with MCC investigators, generating manuscripts, and developing competitive grant applications.
The candidate will process and analyze various types of genomics data generated from RNA-seq, DNA-seq, bisulfite sequencing, mass spectrometry and microarray. The candidate will also perform data mining from genomic data repositories and perform customized analyses for specific research projects.
The candidate is expected to have excellent knowledge in statistics and be proficient in R, C and Python programming.
