ASSOCIATE OR FULL PROFESSOR OF MATHEMATICS EDUCATION, Wheelock College of Education & Human Development
The Wheelock College of Education & Human Development at Boston University invites applications for a full-time Associate or Full Professor (with Tenure) of Mathematics Education. We are seeking a faculty member who shares BU Wheelock’s commitment to both the advancement of research and the preparation of educators in mathematics.
We seek an individual who has an established research program and a history of obtaining external funding in mathematics education and related fields. We seek candidates whose work combine rigorous quantitative or mixed methods approaches with strong theoretical frameworks and whose research influences the national dialogue on effective mathematics education practices and/or policies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide leadership on the research and training agenda of the program, as well as serve as a mentor for doctoral students and junior faculty in the broader Department/College. Mathematics Education program members teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses, advice students, and provide service to the university and profession.
This Associate or Full Professor position begins July 1, 2019. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

- Record of cross-disciplinary research and training (e.g., STEM, ELL, SPED, Educational Policy and Leadership, Educational Psychology).
