Reports To: Vice President for Lifelong and Professional Learning

Starting Salary: $28,908.50

This is a part-time, 20 hour per week position.

This position is responsible for all aspects of NMC's International Affairs Forum, which is the World Affairs Council of
America's affiliate for northern Michigan, dedicated to educating and engaging the community on the critical global
issues of our times through presentations by national-level international experts, student outreach, panel discussions,
film offerings, global Hot Spots, and in-depth classes


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-5 years experience related to global studies and issues
  • Experience coordinating events


  • Master's Degree; or Bachelor's degree with preference for areas of study and direct experiences related to global studies and issues
  • Experience in building and tracking budgets
  • Experience in a position with international scope such as a multinational business, the State Department, Dept. of Defense, US AID
    or similar governmental organization, a similar non-profit organization or a tertiary educational institution
  • Experience working directly with a Board of Directors
