The Knight-Hennessy Scholars program is building a community of future global leaders to address complex challenges through collaboration and innovation. Each year, up to 100 high-achieving students from around the world receive full funding to pursue any graduate degree at Stanford.

A successful admission process is essential to the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program, and this new role as the Associate Director of Admission is key to the long-term success of the admission process. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Representing the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program to various groups within Stanford University (faculty, department administrators, etc.)
  • Embodying the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program and Stanford University to various constituents (prospective applicants, alumni, university administrators) throughout the US and around the world
  • Leading on-campus, off-campus, and online information sessions
  • Designing, implementing, analyzing, and overseeing evaluative operations (application policies and practices, in-person assessment process, evaluation timeline, etc.)
  • Reading, evaluating, and making recommendations on Knight-Hennessy Scholars applications
  • In consultation with leadership team, hiring, training, managing, and developing a team of auxiliary readers
  • Other duties may also be assigned

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional groups toward a shared goal.
  • Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to new information, changing conditions, or revised priorities
  • Capability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with good judgment
  • Facility with data analysis

In addition, preferred requirements include:
  • An advanced degree and five years of relevant experience

* Please note this position will require occasional work on evenings and weekends and up to 25% travel.
