The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing support for the innovative interdisciplinary and experiential initiatives of the Urban Studies program and the Turley Memphis Center. This position will foster collaborative relationships among the faculty and staff and between the college and community partners by maintaining digital communications and archives, generating externally facing digital content, orienting students on workforce practices, and pairing students with appropriate experiential learning opportunities. Assist with the assessment of core competencies for the Turley Memphis Center and Urban Studies. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will assist in the planning, organizing and coordinating of relevant program activities within the Turley Memphis Center and the Urban Studies program. The Program Coordinator will report to the Urban Studies Program Director and the Director of the Turley Memphis Center. The position requires a flexible schedule with occasional evening and weekend hours.Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Graduate degree or two years of relevant experience in higher education or nonprofit organizations preferred. Must have the ability to solve problems and handle multiple tasks and priorities. Must be student-centered with the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with students, faculty, and staff. Must exhibit professionalism and diplomacy in working effectively with diverse constituencies. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
