Saint Michael's College seeks to appoint a 3-year visiting assistant professor in Social Psychology beginning Fall 2019. The position has the potential for renewal as a tenure track appointment.

Specific teaching assignments will depend on the background and interests of the successful candidate but will include research methods and social psychology. The candidate will also have an opportunity to develop an upper level elective in social psychology or an area of applied psychology with a social focus, such as environmental psychology, social change, community psychology, and so on. The ideal candidate will have the ability and interest to teach general psychology. Innovative approaches to teaching, including those employing technology, are welcomed. The candidate's area of research specialization is open. Preference will be given to candidates who have an interest in mentoring undergraduate psychology majors.

The department offers a full range of courses to support majors and minors in psychology, and to prepare students for a wide range of post-graduation opportunities.
