Part Time Faculty for:

Education; Geology, Biology &  Physical Sciences, Animal Science; Behavioral and Social Sciences; Computer Science, Homeland Security/Criminal Justice; Industrial Technology; Health and Human Performance.

Required: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution plus experience in a practical setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Industrial Technology required:  Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 semester credit hours or demonstrated expertise in the field to be taught.”

Preferred:  Doctorate degree preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:  The Adjunct Faculty members responsibilities for this position include teaching in a traditional classroom setting or an online format, responding to student questions, selecting textbooks for each course taught, creating syllabi which meet course objectives and formatting guidelines, using a variety of styles in order to accommodate the various learning modes of students, compiling administering, and grading all assignments and examinations in a timely manner and returning all items gathered from students, and performing other duties as designated by the Department Chair. Faculty members are expected to provide an effective teaching environment that is conducive to student learning. The classroom and coursework, either traditional or online format, should contain elements that recognize and enhance components of the learning process, employ effective delivery of instructional materials, and are responsive to the personal and professional needs of students.

Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times. This position is security sensitive.
