Assistant Professor of Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Alma College, Alma, Michigan invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position beginning August, 2019.

Candidates should have primary expertise in clinical psychology. We seek highly qualified candidates who have demonstrated excellence in teaching, who will establish an active research program, and who will embrace close interactions between faculty and students. Ideal candidates will show promise of innovative and engaged pedagogy and a firm commitment to teaching at a liberal arts college.

Teaching responsibilities will include Introduction to Psychology and Abnormal Psychology. Teaching load is six units per year. There are also opportunities to create new courses to fit faculty interests. All candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment.
