Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):

Associate's Degree (or foreign equivalent or higher). In lieu of the degree, two [2] years of directly related full-time experience or a combination of education and experience totaling two [2] years may be considered. Experience working in at least one of the following technical areas: Stage electrics, stage carpentry, stage rigging, costuming, theater sound and associated terminology.

Preferred Qualifications:

Supervisory stage work experience. Experience in more than one technical area ie. Stage electrics, stage carpentry, stage rigging, costuming, theater sound. Prior experience working in an Arts Center.

Brief Description of Duties:

Fill crew requirements for stage productions, load-ins, load-outs, installations, maintenance of stage spaces, etc.

    Assist in the supervision of and the loading and unloading of scenery and stage equipment as required by incoming performing companies.

    Installation of lighting, or scenery or flying scenery or costume maintenance and repair for a production.

    Work as part of a running crew for a production.

    Operate advanced theatrical technical equipment.

    Adapt and/or repair theatrical technical equipment.

    Assist in the design or execution of either lighting, sound, rigging, scenery or costumes.

    Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

Special Notes:

This is a part time appointment. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. At times, work in shifts may be in excess of 8 hours.
