Assistant or Associate Professor, Anatomical/Structural Sciences (two positions available)

The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell (http://medicine.hofstra.edu) seeks two qualified medical educators to participate in the delivery of Structure, an integrated longitudinal course that includes anatomy, pathology, histology, embryology, medical imaging, and physical diagnosis for our first and second year medical students. This faculty member will be responsible for participating in different responsibilities related to Structure, which may include developing and facilitating interactive laboratory exercises, supervising laboratory review sessions, conducting office hours for students seeking extra help, assisting with developing and grading oral and written assessments.
Successful applicants must possess a MD/DO and/or PhD degree in anatomical sciences or other related discipline and must have experience instructing medical students in clinically oriented anatomical and structural sciences (anatomy, embryology, histology, medical imaging, pathology). Candidates must demonstrate professional conduct when interacting with students and willingness to contribute to multidisciplinary, team-based medical instruction in the laboratory. Ability to prepare specimens for laboratory exercises a plus. This is a part time position, not to exceed 20 hours per week. Applicants must be flexible and be able to adjust their work hours to meet curricular needs. Faculty appointment will be commensurate with experience.
