The University of Virginia, School of Nursing invites applications for an Assistant Professor, tenure track position, from persons who want to join one of the nation's top nursing programs and who have evidence of an initially funded program of research. Responsibilities will include research, teaching, and service. Assistant Professors will be expected to teach professional nursing courses to undergraduate and graduate students across a broad range of clinical practice, research, and leadership courses. Service expectations include participating in curriculum and course design committees.

PhD in nursing or related field is required by the start date of the appointment. Applicants must possess an emerging program of research and an initial track record of funding (example: intermural, NRSA, post-doc funding). Previous experience teaching is essential. Licensure in Virginia by the start date of the position is required.
