Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for working with staff members of FSUS as needed, either in coaching a sport, conditioning players
or within a special area at FSUS, such as Band, Color Guard, Orchestra etc.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

For Athletics - A professional or temporary State of Florida Coaching Certificate (see the Department of Education website for more information.)
Ability to work with children and young adults, and other staff members, in a coaching position.

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree
Experience in a K-12 setting
Prior coaching experience in desired sport.
Prior experience in special area.
Active Athletics Certification from the Department of Education

Anticipated Salary Range

For Athletics - Payment is based on collective bargaining agreement supplement.
For Special Area - Supplement is decided per Administration within special area department.
Supplement is paid in bi-weekly installments.

Pay Plan

This is an OPS/temporary Job.

Schedule

Part-time, seasonal schedule depending upon the sport.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting, with the cost being the responsibility of the successful candidate. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11. Recertification is required at 5 year intervals (at the employee's expense).
