Posting Summary:
University of Virginia department of Information Technology Services seeks a ServiceNow Developer. This position specializes in the implementation and operation of IT processes in an automated system. The ServiceNow Developer works to ensure that applications operate with a high level of quality and support, achieving the desired business outcomes.
Key activities and responsibilities for the ServiceNow Developer include:

Serve as administrator and developer for the CIO area's ITSM tool (ServiceNow)

Consult with business process owners and constituents to develop and analyze requirements

Collaborate with members of project teams to ensure successful, technically sound projects which are completed on time and on budget

Design and implement form scripts, business rules, workflows, and otherwise configure or modify applications to meet CIO area business requirements

Track, prioritize, and implement enhancement requests and defect corrections, while leveraging formal Change Management processes.

Collaborate with internal colleagues to design and implement data feeds\interfaces with other systems, including databases, monitoring tools, LDAP, etc.

Coordinate and perform application upgrades in partnership with vendors and internal colleagues

Minimum Requirements:

- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related disciplines

- 2 or more years administering and developing on the ServiceNow platform is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience creating, updating, and interpreting JavaScript functions and scripts

- Experience implementing and maintaining Content Management System interfaces in ServiceNow

- Experience developing and supporting angularJS applications

- Experience with database management systems, concepts, and architectures

- ITIL Foundations v3 (or higher)

- Risk Analysis

- Leadership skills

- Management of multiple priorities/multi-tasking skills

- Presentation skills

- CSS

- HTML

- angularJS

- PHP
