The Department of Family Medicine at the University of Virginia is recruiting for a full-time licensed Clinical Psychologist to provide patient care and teach fellows, residents, doctoral students and medical students in our clinics. This is a tenure-ineligible clinical faculty position at the University of Virginia in the School of Medicine. Our clinics are recognized as Patient Centered Medical Homes by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
Direct patient care will include inpatient and outpatient care of adults, children and families, as well as consultation to residents and faculty in clinic. This individual will be a member of the clinical and teaching team in the Department and its Family Medicine Residency; participating in administration and problem-resolution within this context. Faculty physicians and psychologists are responsible for all patient care decisions while serving as the supervising attending and in the direct care of individual patients. Teaching will also include developing lectures or workshops in behavioral science for presentation to faculty, residents, students and fellows.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology and be licensed or license-eligible by the Board of Psychology in the Commonwealth of Virginia by start date.
