Job Description Summary:

GW’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) strives to maintain a diverse program of research directed at a wide range of problems in areas such as bio-inspired engineering, bioengineering, energy and sustainability, multiscale modeling and simulation, nanotechnology, mechatronics and robotics, machine design, manufacturing, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, and materials science.

Under general guidance of the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will develop independent projects in 3D bioprinting and tissue engineering.

Responsibilities include:

Contributes to lab research and build independent projects.

Designs and performs experiments.

Mentor and train students in the lab.

Composes technical reports, papers and proposals.

Performs other duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Require’s a PhD in the field or in a related area.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

PhD in biomedical material science, chemistry, or engineering field

Previous experience in the field of neural, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal regeneration and/or human enhancement
