Job description

Duties: This position will work in the Molecular Pathology and Imaging Core (MPIC) within the Division of Gastroenterology. The duties include processing, embedding and sectioning paraffin samples; performing H&E and other histological stains; performing immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence experiments for core members and their labs; assisting in training core members and their labs in areas of immunostaining, microscopy and imaging. The incumbent must maintain detailed lab records and keep a clean work environment.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Ability to work independently and as a team player is essential. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to faculty, staff and other researchers. Experience with histology and working in a biology research laboratory is preferred.
