Advertised Job Summary: Provides IT support as related to classroom oversight; distance education; tier one response; and academic software for the College of Nursing. Serves as the first point of contact for technical operations at the College of Nursing. In conjunction with the Systems Support Specialist, provides assessment of technical issues and resolves troubleshooting of IT resources, including but not limited to desktop computing, printing, mobile device operation, network connectivity, and software support. These areas are serviced promptly and accurately with a high degree of technical acuity. Works with UTS and related College organizations to facilitate the academic teaching mission of the College via the web and distance delivery to multiple remote sites. Supports Distance Education Software and hardware, monitors distance education at the College and coordinates all activities relating to distributed learning at the College of Nursing. Maintains and makes recommendations for Distance Education software and hardware to increase reliability of courses. Supports course recording initiatives. Serves as primary audio/visual technical support for on-site and off-site meetings and events, including design, planning and installation of meeting room technology. Manages online conferencing meeting platforms and provides hands on assistance. Works with University counterparts to solve issues when necessary. Provides classroom technical support to all College of Nursing undergraduate and graduate courses including Audio/Visual support. Is familiar with classroom technology and provides in-person and remote support for all nursing classes. Works with University counterparts to solve issues when necessary. Assists with on-site assessments.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree Information Technology Systems and 2 years related work experience or high school diploma and 6 years related work experience; or equivalency.
