Job description



This position is an integral member of UKHC team, supporting the Enterprise in being a top performing academic medical center. Focuses intensively on the needs of UKHC faculty (i.e., physicians) to provide development experiences that meet a segment of our workforce with unique and distinctive organizational challenges. Functions as a Senior Organizational Development Specialist with a deep understanding of the needs of physicians. Uses knowledge to design programs and events that support the engagement of faculty. Development efforts targeted towards Department Chairs, Division Chiefs, Section Chiefs, and Medical Directors. Understands the scheduling challenges for physicians and approaches with positivity and flexibility. Creates a physician managerial and leadership development program, as well as a comprehensive New Faculty Orientation. Supports faculty through day one of employment to full career. Provides coaching and advanced organizational development support.

Requires meeting the schedules of physicians which includes early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends. Typically, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

MS Windows, Excel, statistical analysis, project management tools, statistical analysis tools (e.g., survey data, focus groups, interviews, etc.).

Preferred Education/Experience

Preferred terminal degree in organizational development, HR, organizational or industrial psychology, or business. Must have experience in advanced facilitation and training, at professional level. Certification in any of the following preferred: MBTI, DISC, 360 instruments, coaching, and other inventories (e.g., Hogan, Birkman, Korn Ferry competency modeling), and master facilitation.
