The MBA Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business is seeking an Assistant Director to join the Global Experiences team. Reporting to the Director, Global Experiences, the Assistant Director is responsible for supporting the student experience by advising student leadership teams, developing program content, and maintaining and streamlining business processes and operations for the Global Experiences programs (Global Study Trips, STEP, Global Seminars, GMIX, and Self-Directed Options).
The Assistant Director should thrive on interacting with students and furthering the educational content and program operations processes of the Global Experiences portfolio. Responsibilities include interacting with students to answer questions about roles and responsibilities, coaching regarding educational content, deliverables, deadlines, budgeting, and risk management.
The Assistant Director will assist with student recruitment processes, update online resources, coordinate communications, track deliverables, organize events, and manage inventory.
Central to this role are strong student advising and coaching experience, excellent project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects, coordinating across diverse stakeholders, demonstrated problem solving and systems management, attention to detail, prioritization of the needs of multiple constituencies, and strong interpersonal skills. International program management and an understanding of global risk management are preferred.
This position may involve occasional domestic and international travel.
Administer, implement, and interpret university and department policies and procedures on issues regarding admission, financial aid, housing, registrar services, visa services, student life, advising, career counseling and academic services. Identify, clarify, and resolve highly visible or complex issues with substantial significance and impact that may span multiple areas, using advanced technical and professional knowledge requiring independent judgment.
