The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy (ELP) in the Graduate School of Education at the University at Buffalo invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Educational Administration at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are seeking a scholar with a record of scholarship and publication in educational leadership, leadership preparation, and/or educational policy whose work complements the work of our department while bringing in additional perspectives that will contribute to a dynamic and engaged research, teaching, and service agenda. Our faculty are deeply engaged in research inside the university, in the community, and around the world, and we aim to bring in a colleague whose work can help us to understand how to prepare and support high quality school leaders for diverse contexts.

In this position, it is expected that faculty will engage in scholarly research, serve on masters and doctoral committees, and teach courses both in one’s area of specialization and in our leadership preparation program. Additionally, as we begin the process of aligning our program and coursework with new educational leadership standards, this individual will play a pivotal role in program design. Scholars from all areas of research specialization and who use all methodologies are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in equity-focused researchers whose scholarship focuses on principal/school leader preparation; critical race theory; leadership for diverse contexts including both urban and rural settings; and family and community engagement.
