Admissions Counselor - Event Coordinator
The Event Coordinator/Admissions Counselor will serve Piedmont Technical College by designing various outreach events, such as, but not limited to, Instant Admissions, Open House, and Senior Rush. The Admissions Counselor will advise and counsel students regarding educational and career goals to be admitted into the appropriate program and inform students of admissions requirements, as well as, serve as a liaison for community outreach and retention initiatives. The coordinator also serves as an advisor for the College's Student Ambassadors Program to train, monitor and mentor.Minimum and Additional Requirements
A Bachelor's degree and two (2) years experience in student services programs required. Valid SC Driver's License required.Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a higher education setting is preferred. Banner experience preferred.Additional Comments
Requires flexible work schedule, possibly evening and/or weekend hours. Requires service area travel, and travel, possible overnight, to attend trainings, workshops, seminars and or professional development. Some lifting required, approximately twenty-five (25) lbs. (e.g., promotional items and display equipment).
