Job Summary:

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Employee Wellness the Employee Wellness Coordinator will plan, implement, and evaluate theory-and evidence-based programs and services targeting employees at Oklahoma State University. They will develop, implement, and analyze periodic employee wellness surveys that (1) provide baseline and follow-up data, (2) identify program needs and priorities, (3) evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services, and (4) track trends in employee health status and behavior.
Assist the Asst. Director with all aspects of the employee wellness programs including marketing, recruitment, training and the supervision of student interns and graduate assistants.
Plan, coordinate, and at times, lead presentations, classes and workshops on a variety of health promotion/wellness topics.
Collaborate and coordinate between departments, as needed, for special events.
Collaborate with key stakeholders on and off campus to develop a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to promote health for employees.
Actively participate on various campus and/or community committees that are relevant to the department and university mission.
Communicate departmental policies and expectations within the Employee Wellness department.
Assist in the development of the annual budget.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibility may require working evenings or weekends in order to accomplish departmental goals.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree Health Promotion, Health Education, Public Health or related field and one year of related work experience. Current CPR (or within 90 days of hire).

Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work with little supervision. Success in the role will require a highly collaborative and creative individual. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing best practices in employee wellness/health promotion and proven ability to develop and evaluate programs and initiatives.


Master's degree in Health Promotion, Health Education, Public Health or related field and three years of experience working with employee wellness programs. Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
