Student Employee - Office of Compliance


The primary purpose of student employment is to provide current LCC students with the opportunity to acquire job skills and experiences during semesters while actively attending classes at LCC. Student employees in the Compliance Department will provide clerical support and assist with various projects and events that support the Director of the Office of Compliance. The primary responsibilities will include preparing documents, scanning/copying, maintaining office files, data collection and analysis, and performing other activities and clerical duties as assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with departmental/office clerical duties as assigned including preparing documents, scanning/copying, maintaining office files, and ordering supplies
  • Assist with various projects involving research, data collection and analysis
  • Use computers for spreadsheets, word processing, database management, and other applications
  • Assist with drafting minutes from various meetings involving the Director of the Office of Compliance
  • Submit work requests for the needs of the office as well as those of the College
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office of Compliance

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Functional working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Ability to work reliably both independently as well as in a team environment
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work with a diverse population of employees across campus in courteous and professional manner
  • Willingness to learn and follow general College policies, office procedures, federal privacy laws and security protocols

Education and Experience

The following requirements apply each semester, in order to maintain eligibility and continue working as a student employee:

- Enrolled & actively attending is required to maintain employment eligibility (i.e. minimum LCC credit hours by semester):

    Fall and/or Spring Semester(s) = 6.0 creditsSummer Semester = 3.0 credits

- International students with an F-1 visa and valid I-20 issued by LCC must meet the following minimum enrollment/credit requirements each semester, in order to maintain employment eligibility per United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USICS) regulations:

    Fall and/or Spring Semester(s) = 12.0 creditsSummer Semester = 3.0 credits
- Minimum 2.0 GPA or have approval to waive requirement unless it is the student’s first semester of enrollment at LCC

- Must be at least 18 years of age and/or a high school graduate who is at least 17 with a valid, signed work permit

Hours per Week: Up to 25 Hours

Hourly Wage: $10.75
