We are particularly interested in candidates who have research interests in health communication, which will contribute to our health and crisis communication research area. We are also interested in candidates who have research interests in political communication or other research areas in the department: identity and diversity communication, interpersonal and family communication, and organizational communication.

The Department of Communication (communication.missouri.edu) at the University of Missouri has a long history of leadership in the field of communication. We are the 5th highest-ranked communication program in the United States, according to Academic Analytics Scholarly Research Index (2016). We offer B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. communication degrees. Our faculty are engaged in research, excellent teaching, and community outreach.
