St. Edward's University invites applications for a nine month, full-time, non-tenure track visiting assistant professor appointment in Biological Sciences to begin in mid-August, 2019. Applicants with a background in Evolutionary Biology are desired.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching BIOL 4344: Evolution.
  • Teaching majors first year biology lecture and labs, with the possibility of additional opportunities in first year biology courses for non-majors.
  • Ability to teach courses in Anatomy is especially preferred.
  • The teaching load is 4 courses per semester (12 hours).

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in biological sciences required.
  • A strong commitment to and demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Successful candidate must complete an employment and/or criminal history background check
