Associate / Assistant Professor

The College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences and the College of Science at Clemson University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Science commencing with the fall 2019 semester.
The candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses related to radiological engineering and/or sciences. Development of new courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level will be encouraged. The candidate will also be expected to advise MS and PhD students, is expected to develop a high-quality, well-funded sponsored research program, and be recognized within their respective professional society. The home department will be determined by the fit of the applicants across the College of Science, and the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences. Excellent opportunities exist for collaboration with colleagues within this diverse departments that comprise the Center for Nuclear Environmental Engineering Sciences and Radioactive Waste Management (NEESRWM). Applicants must have Ph.D. (or equivalent) as well as teaching and/or research experience in one of the following areas: materials in extreme environments, nuclear separations, actinide chemistry, nuclear imaging, medical physics, radiobiology or a closely related field. This position is partly funded by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission which requires the candidate be a U.S. citizen or a non-citizen national of the United States, or have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence. Non-citizen nationals are persons born in outlying possessions of the United States.
