The Office of Academic Affairs supports the academic mission of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Our team is responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of the Osteopathic medical degree program. We work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to develop an ever improving learning environment through faculty development, curricular innovation, and assessment.

The Department of Medical Education provides educational support services to TCOM and to other health science center programs. Faculty and staff in the department schedule medical school classes, coordinate the scheduling of all other classes, support curriculum development activities in the medical school, conduct faculty development programs designed for relevant professional development of all faculty, and contribute to educational research.

Medical Education assists with basic science and clinical science faculty review, and provides staff support to the Curriculum Committee and course director groups that carry out the improvement and development of our osteopathic curriculum.

Position Details
The Office of Academic Affairs at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire an Office of Academic Affairs to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Provide superior administrative support for Associate Dean & Department Chair (Department of Medical Education) and all Direct Reports to Associate Dean & Department Chair. Serve as internal/external liaison for Associate Dean's Office to ensure smooth/efficient low of information. Maintain compliance with any/all departmental & institutional policies & procedures.

* Provide assistance with any/all Annual Strategic Plan TRAC DAT entries/updated all through each academic year/fiscal year.

* Serve as Lead Support for AOA-required & UNTHSC-required TCOM Curriculum Committee Meetings.

* Serve as the Lead Support for the TCOM Student Performance Committee.

* Serve as Lead Support for TCOM-required Quarterly Academic Affairs Full Staff Meetings.

* Serve as Lead Support, to Associate Dean & Department Chair, for timely handling of all financial & operational functions, including, but not limited to COGNOS, travel, purchasing (with ePRO, ePAR), P-Card transactions, P-card monthly statements, all department inventory transactions, technology needs, compliance needs, & any other related duties, as assigned.

* Serve as the official Time Keeper for Academic Affairs and Medical Education employees.

* Serve as Lead Support to Associate Dean & Department Chair for timely assistance with the Department of Medical Education Annual Report ? all divisions under the Associate Dean & Chair's management will be required to complete a "separate divisional report" ? the Associate Dean will select & set the deadline for all divisional/office reports.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Proficiency with MS Office Suite Programs (Online).
* Proficiency with UNTHSC TRAC DAT Program (Online).
* Proficiency with UNTHSC ePAR & ePRO & COGNOS & CTP Programs (Online).
* Proficiency with UNTHSC Event Management System (EMS Online Scheduling).
* Proven Expertise with Project Management & Operative Organizational Skills.
* Proven Expertise with providing High Profile / Executive Level / Self-Directed Administrative Support.
* Exceptional Handling of Executive Level Administrative Support For Ten (or more) Administrators & Faculty.
* Exceptional & Proven Communication Skills (Oral & Written).
