Position Summary: The Programmer supports the development of a state-of-the-art, data-driven simulation platform in support of all the major missions of the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and the associated software applications. The position reports to the Center Director and Professor of the Practice.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, or Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor's degree and some computer coursework from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or development; or Associate's degree in Computer Programming and one year of experience in application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualification and Experience: Must have demonstrated software development experience, writing code with the Unity game engine. Experience with source code control, code documentation, and copyright procedures. Proficient writing Javascript, C++, C#. HTML5 and iOS software code writing experience are plus factors. Must know how to create mobile interfaces in collaboration with the UI Design team. Strong communication/technical presentation skills and Microsoft Office proficiency are required. Must be attentive to evolving technology trends in eLearning, simulations, gaming, and VR/AR/MR/XR.
